Obituary

Our beloved Yasamin passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, after a long journey with stage 4 lung cancer.  Yasamin faced her illness with incredible strength, meeting every challenge with courage and grace.  She lived a life full of love and happiness.  She had a fulfilling career as a dental assistant, working for Dr. C. Benson Clark for over 30 years.  She loved fishing, creating art, and being with her friends and family.  And, as we all know, she knew how to party.  Whether it was a birthday celebration or a party for her #1 guy, Prince, Yasamin brought the fun.

Yasamin was not just an ordinary woman.  She was a vibrant, energetic and adventurous kind of person everyone could count on.  She was everyone's supporter.  If your shoes were worn, she'd buy you a new pair.  If you were hungry, she'd feed you.  If you were going through a difficult period, she'd listen and offer heartfelt advice.

Yasamin was raised with unwavering love and care by her parents, Albert and Dadie Diggs.  She is survived by her beloved siblings Carlos, Michal (Patrick), Cavin and Carol (Joe "Pepe") and was preceded in death by her dear sister Joanne.

Later in life, after connecting with her biological father, Hugh, Yasamin was grateful to expand her family even further.  She is also survived by her siblings Sheryl, Keith, Denise, Kevin, and BJ, each of whom she cherished deeply.  Yasamin leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who became family, each carrying her memory and continuing to feel her love in the quiet moments.
