Reverend Dr. Willie C. Vines entered into eternal rest in the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. He was born in Wilson County, North Carolina to the late John Wade Vines and Addie Larayne Suggs. He married Decorious Best on March 21,1970 and from this union three children were born: Kimberly Vines-Weathers, Cletisha Lovelace and Anedra Butler.

Willie was a man of unwavering faith and full of favor, known for his wisdom, humility, integrity, and compassion. He leaves to honor his memory and carry on his legacy his devoted wife of 54 years, Decorious Vines; daughters Kimberly Vines-Weathers (Timothy), Cletisha Lovelace (George), Anedra Butler (Wendell); grandchildren David Aaron (Timothy Vines), Mercelles Weathers, Jaden Butler, Kye Butler, Soren Butler, Melia Butler, George Lovelace, III, Gabryl Lovelace; great granddaughter Shiloh Aaron; sisters Ernestine Rowe (Bobbie), Valerie Vines, Ann Vines; brother Gary Vines (Deborah) and a host of nieces, nephews, spiritual sons and daughters.

Viewing will be held on Monday, November 11 at 10 a.m. at Bethel Temple Church, 1705 Todds Lane, Hampton. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m., with interment at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
