Mr. William J. Barnes, Jr ., father of Minerva Barnes Seymore, William J. Barnes, III, and Mujahud Barnes, passed on March 3, 2025. Viewing will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News, VA. A funeral service will be held 12 Noon Friday, March 14, 2025 at the funeral chapel. Interment with full military honors will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
