(Ret) Curtis L. Goard
d. Sep 18, 2025
"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body,
and to be present with the Lord."
2 Corinthians 5:8
In Loving Memory of United States Air Force MSgt (Ret) Curtis L. Goard, b orn on May 13, 1945, in Page, West Virginia, to the late Reuben and Cecelia Goard, Curtis L. Goard transitioned on September 18, 2025.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Lafayette Goard, Carvel Goard, Wendell Goard, and Roger Goard.
Curtis is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Patrice Goard; two daughters, Tracie Goard-Iverson (Steve) and Tonya Goard-Randle; one son, Curtis L. Goard II; nine grandchildren — Terence (Chanelle), Chelsea, Kelliyah, Alexis, Trevon, Raven, Allison, Iman, and Taylor; seven great-grandchildren; two bonus grandkids, Selena and Stephen Jr.
He is also survived by his sister, Linda Lewis (Doug); brother, Ralph Goard; sister-in-law, Lucinda West (Jim); and his lifelong friend since elementary school, Delaine Ruth (Laverne); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Curtis had many passions, including driving his Corvette, working on cars, fishing, playing ping pong and pool, traveling, water skiing, and golf — where he proudly achieved a hole-in-one. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and took great pride in being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He was deeply respected by his family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors. Known for his joking personality and a smile that welcomed everyone, Curtis brought joy and warmth wherever he went.
