Usaf (Ret.)
Msgt Alan Louis Williams
d. Sep 2, 2025
USAF (Ret.) MSgt Alan Louis Williams entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was born on January 30, 1947, and grew up with a strong sense of duty, perseverance, and love for family. A proud graduate of Harrison County High School, Class of 1966, Alan began building a life grounded in service and commitment.
In his early years, Alan was previously married and became a devoted father to his first daughter, Melissa Williams, who preceded him in death. Though life brought changes, Alan's devotion to his family never wavered.
In 1975, while stationed at Langley Air Force Base, Alan met the love of his life, Juanita, who was working as a waitress at the time. Their connection was instant and enduring. They married on April 30, 1976, beginning a lifelong partnership marked by love, strength, and resilience.
Soon after their marriage, Alan received orders to relocate to Andrews Air Force Base. On May 26, 1976, he and Juanita moved their growing family to Maryland, where they would build a home filled with laughter, values, and unwavering support.
Together, they lovingly raised five of Juanita's six children as their own, and on January 29, 1979, they welcomed their daughter Alicia Williams, a joyful addition to their blended family.
Alan proudly served in the United States Air Force for 23 years, rising to the rank of Master Sergeant. He retired with honor in 1992, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, leadership, and sacrifice for his family and country.
Alan is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Juanita Williams, and seven of his eight children: Alicia Williams, Frederick Pierce, Sabrina Pierce, Marlene Mitchell, Juanita McCallum, Vanessa Pierce, and Irma Barber. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward his love and legacy.
Alan's life was a testament to service—both to his country and to his family. His gentle spirit, steady presence, and deep love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
