Travis Lee Brunson , 29, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 1, 2023.  He was born on December 18, 1993 in Hampton, VA to Lee and Karen Brunson.

Travis accepted Christ as his savior at an early age and was a member of Mt. Rona Baptist Church, now known as Crossroads Community Church.

He graduated from Heritage High School in 2012. Upon graduation, he attended Delaware State University where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications.  Travis had the pleasure of being presented his degree by now President Joe Biden.  During his matriculation at Delaware State, Travis was involved in a number of activities that include: President of the National Association of Black Journalists, Senior Class Recording Secretary, The Hornet Newspaper contributing writer, Dean's List, and Student of the Year Nominee.

Travis' professional life soared once he graduated from DSU in May 2016. Being the fearless, self-motivated person that he was, Travis relocated to Las Vegas, NV to expand his career with Allstate Insurance.  He went on to climb the corporate ladder and after 10 years of service with Allstate, he transitioned to Travelers Insurance where he remained.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather's Leegrant Brunson, Sr. and J.P. Moore; and grandmother's Betty Brunson and Eunice Moore. Travis is survived by his parents Lee and Karen Brunson (Hampton, VA), sister Ashley, and twin nieces, Madison and Makayla (Durham, NC). Also left to cherish his memories are a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and his special best friend, Amanda Capleton.

Viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2023 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel.  A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel.  Entombment will be in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
