Mr. Timothy Lee Vance was born on February 2, 1963 to James Earl Vance, Sr., and the late Mattie Rean Vance.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Vance and daughter, Irequez Vance.  He departed this life on Friday, March 24, 2023.

Timothy attended Menchville High School.  He worked various jobs.  Timothy was a pleasure to be around, always kept you laughing, always talking about the Lord.  He had many jokes, he loved to help others.  He would give you the shirt off his back.  He loved his family dearly.  Timothy loved to sing, that was his passion.  He will be deeply missed.

Timothy leaves to cherish his memory; three daughters, Shaniquez Vance of Newport News, Virginia, Kaya Vance of Newport News, Virginia, Amia Vance of Newport News, Virginia; two sons, Davonta and Jacory Vance, both of Newport News, Virginia; his father, James Earl Vance, Sr. (Stella); four brothers, James Vance of Virginia, Robert Vance of Kinston, NC., Lindwood Anderson of Mississippi, Terrell Fields of Dallas, Texas; seven sisters, Peggy Taylor (Fitzgerald) of Smithfield, VA., Pennie Vance, Teresa Vance, Jenifer Vance, Charlene Vance (Mike), Angela Ormond (Henry), Annette Taft, all in North Carolina; his aunts, Lucy Harrell, Odell (Al) Morrison; Pamela Harris and Yvette Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2023 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel.   A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Restoration and Faith Ministry in Newport News, VA.
