Mr. Smith Beckett, Jr. a member of New Mt. Olive Baptist Church, passed on January 10, 2024. Viewing will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 pm at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News, Va. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 18, 2024 at New Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 66 Big Bethel Road, Hampton, Va. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
