Obituary

Rosa Mae Graham, 65, was born on November 16, 1957, to Rose B. Greene (Winnegan) and William Hurley Gray.

She was raised in Smithfield, Virginia by her mother, Rose Winnegan and stepfather, James Winnegan.  In 1976, she moved to Newport News, Virginia where she resided until her demise.

Rosa earned her associate degree in nursing from Thomas Nelson Community College.  She later devoted the rest of her nursing career to home health care as she had a passion for helping others.

Rosa loved her family, everyone, no one was excluded.  She also had a passion for cooking, especially for her family.  IN 1983, Rosa dedicated her life as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.  As a devoted servant, she shared the good news with those she met.  She loved her spiritual family.  Rosa served Jehovah until her death.

Rosa was preceded in death by her stepfather, James Winnegan; her sister, Martha Winnegan; father, William Hurley Gray; brother, Keith Winnegan; and grandson, De'Travious.

Rosa will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.  We take comfort in knowing there will be a time where sickness and death will be no more.  Revelations 21:3,4

Rosa is survived by her mother, Rose B. Winnegan; her devoted husband of 33 years, Sylvanus Graham; her only daughter, Xaviera "Sherrice" Greene-Davis; her sons, Xavier Greene (Anntoine), Wallace Greene (Aneesha), Milton Russell; and stepson, Christopher Graham; one brother, Lorenzo "Tyrone" Winnegan (Tara); three sisters, Frances, Joy, and Alesia; sister-in-law, Gloria Winnegan; two aunts, Geraldine and Frances Greene; 23 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
