Loving Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, and Friend

Raymond Dunn Williams, Jr. , received his wings to Heaven on Monday, July 17, 2023, in the serenity of his home surrounded by his loving wife, Marcella and family.

Raymond obtained his formal education and graduated from Weldon City Schools with the Class of 1978.  He continued his education at St. Augustine's College in Raleigh, North Carolina before deciding to join the workforce.  He became employed at the Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company in 1979.  He remained a faithful employee until his retirement on January 3, 2022, after 43 years.

Raymond was a people person.  He enjoyed talking and making people laugh. He always had good advice to give and knew something about everything you asked him.  His Facebook page always had something that would make you laugh.  He also always had the newest gadgets which he loved to share with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Donnie Mae Wills, his nephew Donald Ramon Wills, brothers-in-law Clifton Curtis Wills, Sr., and Eugene Samuel Alston, Sr.

Raymond leaves behind to celebrate his legacy and cherish the many wonderful memories of his life and love, his wife, Marcella Foster Williams of the home, his sons Tyler Ray Williams and Vernon Bland, Jr. of Hampton, Virginia.  His daughters Marquita Young and Lennora Sellers (William) of Hampton, Virginia.  His grandchildren Malik Kelly, Saniyah Bland, Amani Jackson, Anjali Jackson, Ariah Sellers, Amir Sellers, Asiya Sellers, and Ammina Nicole Stewart.  Two sisters: Edith Alston and Barbara Harris (Jack) of Roanoke Rapids, NC.  His Sisters-in-law: Victoria Yarborough (William), Sheryl Jubert (George), Delilah Armstrong (Fred), Brothers-in-law: John Foster Jr. (Gretchen), Dale Foster, Bruce Foster, Wade Foster.  Nephews: Eugene Alston, Jr. (Christina), Clifton C.
