Obituary

Mr. Raymond Alphonse Hall, born on November 22, 1954, in Monticello, New York, to the late Floyd Hall, Sr. and Pauline Hall, peacefully departed this life on March 16, 2026, at the age of 71.

Raymond was educated in the Monticello Central School District, where he graduated before completing one year of community college.  He later enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country for three years.

A man of many talents, Raymond built a long and successful career as a custom flooring specialist.  His craftsmanship took him to various locations across multiple states, where he was known for his skill, dedication, and strong work ethic.  Outside of work, he found joy in fishing and cooking two things he loved to share with others.

Anyone who knew Raymond knows he was no quiet soul.  He was loud, fiery, outspoken, and unapologetically himself.  He was the man people loved to debate, loved to laugh with, and sometimes loved to hate but always came back to.  His boldness, humor, and larger than life personality made him unforgettable.

Raymond was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon Hall; his parents; his brothers Floyd Hall, Jr., Bernard Hall, and Reginald Hall; and his sisters Pamela Hall and Melba Kimble, along with his brother‑in‑law Lamar Kimble

He leaves to cherish his memory his lifelong childhood friend, Bob McCreary; his daughters Verlie Gibson and Niketa Ray Hall; his son Vernell Hartridge; his grandchildren R’Tezhia Gibson, Timothy Gibson (Lexus), and Rebekah Gibson; and his great‑granddaughters Miyah Cole and Azaria Gibson.

He is also survived by his nieces Shaunte Kimble‑Hall, Markesha Kimble‑Hall, DelShonda Kimble‑Hall, Martina Kimble-Hall and Saffire Hall; his nephews Bruce Wilcox and Reginald Hall, Jr.; and a host of great‑nieces, great‑nephews, extended family, and friends.

Though Raymond lived a peaceful final chapter, anyone who knew him knows he was full of fire in life. He spoke his mind, stirred the pot, and kept everyone on their toes. His loud laugh, strong opinions, and unforgettable personality made him the kind of man you couldn’t help but remember.
