Phillis Lewis Seldon was called home to be with the Lord on September 4, 2025.  She was born to the late Phillip and Fannie Lewis Sr on April 5, 1953.

She was a former member of Open Door Baptist Church were she loved to sing for the Lord.   She received her education in the Hampton public school system and was a graduate of Bethel High School. Phillis was a dedicated employee of Branscome for 35 years.

Phillis was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, James Lewis Sr; her sister, Jeanette Robinson; and her niece, Eva M. Redd.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Irene and Arlene Seldon; her siblings, Fannie Gatling, Phillip (Josey) Lewis Jr, Barbara (Richard) Cosby, Arthur (Juanita) Lewis, Eva (Rueben) Dorsey, Raymond Lewis; four grandkids, Corey, D'Aundre (Tiarra), Desiree', Dimitri Seldon; two great-grandchildren, Kehlani and Nyla Seldon, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life service starting at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel.
