Nathan Richard Dearing

Nathan Dearing , age 68, was called from labor to reward on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, in God’s infinite wisdom.

Early Life

Nathan was born and raised in Hampton, Virginia.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Mrs. Lillie Mae Dearing, and Edward Dearing Sr. of Hampton, Virginia.

Career and Work Ethic

After graduating from Pembroke High School, Nathan attended Newport News Shipbuilding Apprentice School where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Later, he joined Busch Gardens’s administration department after the massive downsizing at the Shipyard.  During his time there, he received numerous academic and job performance awards, along with certificates of recognition for his dedication and exemplary leadership.  His co-workers held him in high esteem and admired his strong work ethic.

Interests and Faith

Nathan enjoyed dining out at various restaurants and attending museums and all other cultural arts events.  He also enjoyed home decorating.

Known for his sharp style, Nathan took pride in dressing well and owned a collection of customed made dress suits and accessories.  He was outgoing, friendly, and deeply loyal to both family and friends, always willing to go above and beyond to help those in need.

Family and Legacy

His legacy will be cherished by his brothers, Samuel Richardson, Fayetteville N.C, Thaddues Richardson, Waianae, Hawaii, Frederick Dearing of Newport News, Va. and his sister, Gwendolyn Smith, Hampton, Virginia.

Nathan is also survived by a host of nieces, and nephews.

Services will be private by Nathan Dearing’s request.
