Nancy Mae Brown-Bishop , born November 30, 1930 in Brunswick County, Va. to Mattie C. Brown.  She passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025 in Newport News, Va.

She gave her life to Christ at an early age. Early in life, she attended the Hickory Run Baptist Church in Raleigh, Virginia, where she also sung in the choir.  She enjoyed cooking, flowers and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Bishop; two sons, John Bishop and James Bishop; four sisters, Rosetta Toliver, Maria Fields, Lucy Rhodes and Virginia Bland; three brothers, Thomas Brown, Charles Brown and George L. Brown.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her children, Dennis Bishop (Jacquelyn), Edward Bishop (Barbara), Clarence Bishop (Daudrey), all of Hampton, Virginia; a daughter-in-law, Angela Bishop; a host of grand & great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service will be held 12 noon Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel.
