Minnie Clyde Wormley-Harrison peacefully answered God's call and entered eternal rest on December 7, 2025, at the age of 82. She received her heavenly wings and entered the gates of Heaven, rejoicing in the promise of eternal life. Affectionately known as "Skinney Minnie," she was born on September 12, 1943, in York County to the late Robert and Gladys Wormley.

Minnie was raised in York County and was a longtime resident of Bethel Road. She found joy in fellowship with family and friends and cherished attending York Stars baseball games on Sunday evenings. Minnie faithfully served her community through her work with Newport News Baptist Home and York County Public Schools, from which she later retired.

She was united in marriage to the late Thomas "T.A." Harrison. Minnie was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Thelma Scott; brothers, Michael and Raymond Wormley; grandson, Floyd; and grandparents, William and Roxie Randall.

Minnie leaves to celebrate her life and legacy her loving children: Carol Evans (Tim), Kevin Nixon (Zenobia), and Bernice Dandridge; her cherished grandchildren: Virgil Whitfield (Shurnetta), Vivian Whitfield, Brittany Dandridge, Talley Dandridge, and Paris Dandridge; her precious great-grandchildren; her brother, Robert Wormley; her sister, Eunice Watts; and her stepchildren: Brigette Collins, Carla Keene, and April Young. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and a devoted friend, Elsie Burrell, all of whom will continue to honor her memory and rejoice in God's promise of everlasting peace.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2025 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News, Va. 23607. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
