Minerva Boyd Douglas , 88 of Hampton, Virginia passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. Born on March 24, 1936 in Tarboro, North Carolina, Minerva was the beloved child of Wilson and Annie Boyd.

Minerva will be remembered for her invaluable contributions to the Hampton Roads community and her church family at St Timothy Church of God of Christ. She had unwavering faith as well as a nurturing spirit that allowed her to leave a lasting impression anyone that she met.

Minerva is survived by her daughter, Vondrenna Douglas Martino (Ralph). She was preceded in by her beloved husband, Walter, of 57 years.

Viewing will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News, Va. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Minerva's life on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 11:00 am at Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Temple, 3100 Butternut Drive, Hampton, VA. Entombment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
