Michael Antoine Slade entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Waterside Nursing Home in Norfolk, VA.  Michael was born to the late Evangeline M. and Spencer T. Slade on December 14, 1951.

He was a graduate of George Washington Carver High School.  Michael retired from Frye Property with 30 years of service.  Mike loved Jazz and a good conversation, he would always give good advice.  He loved his family and was a great son, brother and uncle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Spencer T. Slade; a sister, Dana Lynn Slade; nieces, Amanda B. Hilton and Iyanna M. Sotero.

Mike is survived by his brother, Spencer T. Slade, III (Margo); sisters, Corliss S. Stegall and Lisa V. Slade; nieces, Rasia Lilliston (Shelvin) and Jasmin Jacobs; nephews, Spencer T. Slade, IV (Colette) and Roosevelt T. Stegall; cousin, Patrese Francis, all of Hampton and Newport News, Virginia.

Viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel.  Graveside service will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday March 17, 2023 in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
