On Sunday morning, November 30, 2025, Mary , a widow, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt was called home to glory.

Mary Elizabeth Stallings Hobgood Johnson was born to Geobie Stallings, Sr. and Gladys Elizabeth Stallings Engram on April 28, 1929, in Louisburg, North Carolina.

Mary leaves to mourn her lost a host of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchild, sisters, brother, aunt, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2025 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel.  A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Gethsemane Baptist Church.  Interment will be in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
