Obituary

Mary Jane Eversole (Jolly)

November 26, 1943 – September 30, 2026

Mary Jane Eversole (Jolly), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished family member, peacefully passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 82.

Mary was born on November 26, 1943, in New Hampshire, to Lettie and Frank Jolly.  She was the last surviving sibling of Estella, Francis, Roy, Richard, Ronald, and William Jolly.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Loy Eversole, and their only child, Theresa Raynor.  Though her passing leaves an emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her, we find comfort knowing that Mary is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, reunited with the loved ones who went before her.

Mary Jane leaves behind her loving grandchildren, Jessica Lee (Oscar), Nichole Friedenberg, and Raymond “Eric” Raynor, who will forever cherish the memories and love they shared through the last days of her life.  She also leaves behind her beloved great-grandchildren, Morgan Sterns, Martine Lee, Myriya Lee, Izaya Lee, and Ciarra Garland, who will carry on her memory.

Mary treasured the simple joys of life.  She loved spending time with her family, discovering treasures while thrifting, going out to eat with her husband, and dancing to the oldies.  She had a love for family and for the moments that made life special, and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

While we grieve her loss, we celebrate the life she lived and take comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering.  She is resting peacefully, surrounded by those she loved and held dear, in the eternal care of our Lord.

Mary will be dearly missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2026 at Hampton Memorial Gardens.

“To be absent from the body, means to be present with the Lord.”
