Mary Brisbon Richardson , passed away peacefully Thursday, June 15, 2023 in the comfort of her residence.  She was born November 30, 1932 in Lee County, South Carolina.

Mary was a former member of New Grafton Baptist Church in Newport News, Virginia, where for many years she served as an usher.  She also was a former member of New Birth Ministries (now known as New Grace Church).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam J. Richardson, Sr.; her parents, Ollie and Elizabeth Brisbon; her granddaughter, Jacqueline; her sister, Christine Wilson; her brothers, Herbert, Hosie, Robert, Charles, George and Johnny Brisbon.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Joyce of Hampton, Va.; her four sons, Adam (Donnie) of Newport News, Va., Alphonso (Gailine) of Hampton, Va., Wayne (Paula) of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Jeffery of Hampton, Va.; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; a special friend, Mary Green and many other friends.

Mary is at peace now.  She has gone home to be with her Heavenly Father and she will be missed by all.

Viewing will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News, VA. 23607. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Queen Street Baptist North Worship Center, 98 N. Armistead Avenue, Hampton, Va. The Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
