Mark C. Hucks, Sr., 68, of Newport News, Virginia, entered eternal rest on November 28, 2025. Born on September 29, 1957, he was the son of the late Jacob M. Hucks and Doris L. Heckstall-Hucks.

Mark was born and raised in Newport News, where he graduated from Warwick High School in June of 1975. Shortly after graduation, he proudly answered the call to serve his country by joining the U.S. Navy.

Mark was a father, brother, and friend. He is survived by his daughter, LaTonya Hucks-Watkins (Will), and his son, Mark Hucks Jr. (Logan). He also leaves behind two brothers, Jacob Hucks (Gwen) and Michael Hucks, and two sisters, Brenda Woods and Regina Wells, all of whom will forever hold his memories close. He is predeceased in death by his wife Pamela Everette-Hucks and his brother Stanley Hucks.

Mark went through life at his own pace, and his laugh was a small, unforgettable part of who he was. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News, Va. 23607
