Margaret L. Tucker embodied grace, strength, and a quiet elegance, living a life that served as a testament to love and family devotion. She peacefully departed in the early morning of February 21, 2026, at Hospice House of Williamsburg, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever reside in the hearts of those who loved her.

Born on October 25, 1937, in Cheraw, South Carolina to the late James and Fannie B. Henderson, They moved to Newport News, Virginia where she met and married LaSalle Tucker, her husband of 45years until his passing in 2007. Margaret's life was characterized by compassion and a giving heart. Throughout her life, she would use her own money to purchase clothes and food for women in shelters and donate blankets and coats to local churches. Her comforting presence, smile and empathy, earned her the title of being considered everyone's 'Mama'! She was the Matriarch of our family. Our Queen. Our 'Margo'.

She leaves to cherish, her children: Guy A. Henderson, Anthony T. Tucker, Michael L. Tucker, Regina R. Tucker [johnjalynn] and her honorary daughter, Dr. Jamiah K. Dawson. She had three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. two brothers James Henderson(deceased) and Lee Henderson (deceased), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Margaret dedicated her life to charitable work and always taking care of those less fortunate.

Viewing will begin 9:00 a.m.  Saturday, March 14,2026 with the service starting at 2:00p.m. at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel. Interment will be held in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veteran Cemetery, Suffolk, Va.
