Margaret (Shorty) Collins was born on December 25, 1956, to the late Isadora Jenkins in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Margaret gained her wings to her final resting place on April 11, 2024. Margaret was preceded in death by her mother.

At an early age, Margaret attended the United Methodist Church in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Margaret was a homemaker who spent the better part of her life rearing her three children by whom she is survived; Rondell Collins (Hampton, VA), James Collins (Metairie, LA), and Keitha Smith (Kenner, LA), Margaret is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandson and four great-granddaughters. Margaret loved spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be mourned by her special friend Mr. Darnell Webb as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
