Lottie Mae McNeal entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 15, in Upper Marlboro, MD. Lottie was born on New Year's Eve 1938 to Linwood and Sarah Moore, raised in Newport News, VA and graduated from Huntington High School.

After marrying her high school sweetheart, Lorenzo McNeal, Lottie set about raising their five children, volunteering as a cub scout leader, PTA member and school room mother. She subsequently spent a number of years working in sales and eventually as a department manager at Leggett Department Store in Newport News. For decades until as late as Spring 2025 Lottie was a competitive bowling team member, and traveled the country participating in bowling tournaments. As a long time member of First Church (Baptist) of Newport News she supported the church as an Usher and in the Feed the Hungry Ministry.

Lottie leaves behind her daughter Marlette Mills (Eric Mills), sons Anthony and Brian McNeal (Pamala McNeal), grandchildren Ryan and Devin Mills, Sean and Pamela McNeal, and a host of loving family members and friends. Lottie's beloved husband of 64 years Lorenzo, daughter Pamela McNeal-Parks (Stewart Parks) and son Eric McNeal preceded her in death.

Viewing will be held Thursday, September 25, from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm, at Cooke Brothers Funeral Home, 1601 27th Street, Newport News VA 20607. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, Friday, September 26 with "Celebration of Life" services beginning at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Cooke Brothers. The interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens, 155 Butler Farm Road, Hampton VA 23666.
