Lloyd Jerome
Kersey
d. Mar 19, 2023
Lloyd Jerome Kersey , the youngest child to Ruth L James Kersey and Loyd Kersey, was born in Brooklyn, NY. He was raised in Newport News, VA and attended Newport News Schools. He graduated from Ferguson High School in 1981.
Lloyd was a die hard and loyal Dallas Cowboys fan and his immediate family followed along with him. Lloyd loved spending time with his family. He loved Sunday dinners at his house just to be around his children and grandchildren. He loved football and being a football dad and granddad, cheering for the boys from the sideline.
He was also a man of many names. Jerome, 'Slicker J', 'The Bull' and Zodie were names close friends and family called him until 1995 when he started using his birth name Lloyd.
Lloyd was a member of the Groove Phi Gents where he received the name 'The Bull'. That's when he met his first wife Terri Fenwrick. They were married in 1987. Out of this union two beautiful children were born: Tiara and Brian.
He eventually relocated to New Jersey with his family. In 1995 Lloyd and Terri dissolved their marriage. In 2007, he met and married Cindy Borgognoni. A handsome baby boy was born from that union: Lloyd Jr. (Jay). He remained with Cindy until her unfortunate early passing in 2011. In 2012, Lloyd moved back to Newport New, VA. In 2015 he met Pamela Harbison, and they were united in matrimony in 2016. Lloyd and Pamela remained married until the Lord called him home. No children were born from this union.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Kersey, father Loyd Kersey and wife Cindy Kersey.
To cherish his loving memories is his wife: Pamela Harbison Kersey, children: Tiara (TeeTee) Kersey, Brian (Mookie) Kersey, Lloyd Jerome (Jay) Kersey Jr. Siblings: Edric (Scooter) James (Karen), Wanda Annette Hall (Gregory), Belgain (Bo) Kersey; grandchildren: Sage, Savant (Big Shot), Shalom (Trip) and Psalm (Fin); nieces, nephews, a longtime friend of 42 yrs; Terri Young and a host of other relatives and friends.
