Leonard Aerion Goodman, Sr., affectionately known as "Len" , departed this life on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at Atlantic View Post Acute Center in Newport News, Virginia.  Leonard was born November 24, 1942, to the late Mary and Cary L. Goodman, Sr. of Newport News, Virginia.

Educated in the Newport News Public School System, Leonard would later graduate from Huntington High School.  Leonard's early career started as an apprentice painter with his uncle's business and would later gain employment starting as a master pipefitter in the Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company, presently Huntington Ingalls where he labored for 35 years until retirement.

Leonard is survived by Leonard A. Goodman, Jr. and Steve V. Goodman of Newport News, Virginia; Sheryl A. Graham of Woodlawn, Maryland; his brother, Cary L. Goodman, Jr. (Gloria) of Denver, Colorado; his sister, Brenda P. Heathcock of Richmond, Virginia; two grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held 12 Noon Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel.
