Lenwood Scott transitioned on Thursday, November 28, 2024.  He was born on January 5,1935                to the late Leslie and Edna Scott. He was also preceded in death by his wife Louise Hudson Scott, Stepmother Mary Susie Scott, Sisters Rosezina Lucas and Shirley Ambrose, and brother Leon Washington. Lenwood attended George P. Phenix High School. He worked as a welder, welding supervisor and instructor at the Newport News Shipyard for over thirty years. He was also a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

His memories will forever be cherished by his Sons Lenwood Scott Jr. (Angela), and Wesley Tooney;     Grandchildren Atiya Iman and Lenwood Jamal; Sister Dr. Linda Scott-Stone (Leander); nephews: Loren Scott Galloway, Michael Lucas, Therman Lucas, Jr., Gregory Lucas, and Larry Whitehead;  Nieces: Valerie Lucas, Pamela Baker, Christine Wyatt, Carol Blackwell, Faye Williams; Sisters in-law Blondell Hazel, Thelma Forte, and Linda Hudson; brothers in-law Leroy Hudson and Julius ( Jackie) Hudson and a  host of great and great-great nieces and nephews; and other  family and friends.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2024 at Queen Street Worship Center, 98 N. Armistead Avenue, Hampton, Va.
