Kim Yvette Osborne , 53, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 after a short illness. Kim was born on December 12, 1970 in Newport News, VA to parents Joseph and Virginia Ann Rice. She is preceded in death by her brother Joseph Lamont Rice and aunt Pearl Gaines.

Kim was a 1988 graduate of Menchville High School where she participated in the orchestra and gymnastics. She worked many years at Busch Gardens before becoming a certified pre-school teacher at The Smiles and Giggles Learning Center in Hampton, VA.

Kim was a member of West End Baptist Church of Hampton where she participated in the children's ministry and Vacation Bible School.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories, her husband of 23 years, Steven; her children, Tiesha Lashae Rice, Tiffany Benae Rice, Tyron Lamont Rice, and Tiyanna Yvette Rice; one grandchild, Umiyah Ny'Jae Rice whom she affectionately called "Minnie Pot"; one Sister, Petrina Keller (Floyd) and one brother, Jim Rice; aunts, Ruby Rice Natta, Virginia Pridgen (Bobby), Delores Rouse, Shirley Hazer, Portia Wilson (James), and Gaye Person; two uncles, Alphonso Rice and James Person (Devora); two nephews, Tekari Myles Keller, Mekhi Thomas Keller (Ashlee); and two nieces, Aneyka Elizabeth Ann Keller and Jamani Rice. Also left to cherish her memories are her West End Baptist Church family and a host of beloved cousins and friends.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 28, 2023, 11 AM to 5 PM at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601 27th Street, Newport News, VA 23607. The home going services for Kim Osborne will be held Friday, September 29, 2023, 11 AM at West End Baptist Church of Hampton, 2413 Shell Road, Hampton, VA. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
