Kathleen (Kathy) Denise Greene , entered into eternal rest on July 18th at Sentara Careplex in Hampton Va. Her family and friends surrounded her to comfort her during her peaceful transition. She was born March 26, 1960 in South Hampton County, VA. to John Greene and Claudine Greene.

She is proceeded in death by her father John Greene, Daughter, Tiffany R. Greene, Son, Charles A. Whitehead Jr, Sisters Glenda Ellis, & Debra Goodson, brothers Kenneth Greene and Dennis Greene. Kathy attended Southampton county and Newport News schools. Her contagious personality granted her the honor of being voted Prom Queen her senior year in high school. After school she received several certifications to be a qualified companion provider. Kathy was a great mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend! She was know for bringing life to the party & a smile that brightened the whole room.

Kathy leaves behind great memories with her son, Myron Whitehead and daughter Brianna Greene, mother Claudine Greene, brother John Greene, Grandkids, Jazmine Whitehead, Charles A Whitehead III, Mariah, Maliah, Mya & Malania Whitehead, Davonte Walker, Jahkyi Bays, Leah Carter, Malik & Makhy Whitehead a host of family and friends.

Viewing will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News, Va. A funeral service will be held 12 Noon, Friday, August 1,2025 at the funeral chapel. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
