Katherine Beatrice Holloway, 63, entered eternal rest on June 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.  Born on May 3, 1963, Katherine lived a life marked by faith, strength, devotion, and unconditional love.

A lifelong resident of Newport News Virginia, Katherine was educated through Newport News Public Schools.  She was a woman of remarkable resilience, whose greatest joy was founded in her family.  Katherine was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother.  Her life was a testament to selflessness, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to those she loved.

Katherine shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Charlie Albert Holloway Sr. whom she lovingly considered the love of her life.  Together, they built a strong foundation for their family, raising 6 children and creating a legacy of love, perseverance, and unity that will continue for generations.

Katherine was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Lillie Beatrice Butler and Thurman Joe Butler Sr. and siblings Linda Watkins and Thurman Joe Butler Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, devoted husband, Charlie Albert Holloway Sr., Siblings Linda Walker (Gregg), Thelma Butler, Dwight Butler and Sharon Jones (Tony).  Her beloved children Kimberlyn Butler, Keyoshoa Anderson, Charlie Holloway Jr., Charles Holloway Sr. (Sharon), and Calvin Holloway Sr.(Cainesha) and Stepson Dontae Bugg.  Sixteen beloved grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, and a host of extended family, and beloved friends.

Katherine will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle spirit, and extraordinary strength.  She worked tirelessly to provide for her family and never hesitated to place the needs of others above her own.  Through every challenge and adversity she faced, Katherine remained steadfast, courageous, and full of grace.  Her strength became a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her.  Those who knew Katherine best will remember her infectious smile.  It had a way of brightening any room, comforting those in need, and bringing joy to the people she loved.  Her smile reflected the kindness, warmth, and grace that defined her life.

Above all, Katherine loved her family deeply.  She devoted her life to being a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Her greatest accomplishment were found in the lives she touched and the legacy she leaves behind.
