Obituary

Kameko Shanta' Farmer (Meka), 47 of Newport News, VA., was called to be with the Lord on Friday April 25, 2025, after suffering a lengthy illness. She was born to Gilbert E. Farmer and Patricia Farmer on November 3, 1977, in Newport News Va.

She was preceded in death by her father Gilbert E. Farmer, Grandmother Lillian H. Farmer, Grandfather Gabriel Farmer Sr., Aunt Terita F. Skyles and two Uncles Albert G. Farmer and Gabriel Farmer Jr.

Kameko was known by friends and family as "Meka" and to know her was to love her. She was a kind, funny and congenial person that fought back on her illness until the end. She bore her illness with patience and kept a positive attitude throughout her illness.

Farmer and Javion Farmer. A very special uncle: James A. Farmer (Bump) and Aunt: Judith F. Jones (Sean Sr.) and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Best friend: Georgette Stewart.
