On December 2, 2025, Gloria Jean Roberts-Palmer departed her life in her home in Hampton, Virginia.  She was born April 17, 1961 to the late Mr. William Roberts and Mrs. Carrie Mae Roberts.

She received her early education with the Hampton City Schools System.  She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandparent, sister and aunt.  She enjoyed her family and friends and left a great lasting impression to whomever she came in contact with.

Gloria was preceded in death by, Carrie Mae Roberts, William Roberts, Sr., and Richard Roberts, Sr.

She leaves to cherish warm memories with her husband, Ricky Palmer; her daughters, Cecilia Roberts, Andrea Roberts; and son, Calvin Roberts; sisters, Pauline McFarland (Nathan), Sherry Avery (George), Thominice Hargett (Terry), Cynthia Holland, Crystal George; brothers, William Roberts Jr. (Sabrina), Ricky Roberts; mother-in-law, Jennie Stevenson; grandchildren, Carrie Mae Roberts, Jalen Roberts, Ka'Shun Roberts; sister-in-laws, Patricia "Cindy" Brady (Jeffrey), Janice Ross (Reginald) of Surry, Va.; brothers-in-law, Alvin Holloman (Lynette) of Newport News, Va., Stanley Holloman (Aleasa) of Surry, Va., Anthony Stevenson (Diane) of Surry, Va.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News,Va. 23607. Entombment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
