Mrs. Geneva Pope , mother of Mrs. Helen Smallwood and a member of St. John C.O.G.I.C, passed on January 11, 2025.

Viewing will be held Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News, Va. A homegoing celebration service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2025 at St. John C.O.G.I.C, 2416 Orcutt Avenue, Newport News, Va. Interment will follow in Hampton National Cemetery.
