On June 19, 2021, Eriyanna Nazear Smith was born.  On Monday, October 15, 2024, she was sent home to be with the Lord. Eriyanna Nazear Smith was born in Newport News in 2021 to A'Lexus Gibbs and Eric Smith.

Eriyanna loved Bluey and singing and dancing to music.  At 3 years old she brought smiles, happiness and joy to everyone she was blessed to come in contact with.  With an angelic smile or loud squeal, Eriyanna brightened any room with the presence of one of God's angel.  She will be eternally missed and forever remembered.

Eriyanna was preceded in death by her uncle T'ziah Nazear Gibbs and Daraji Mi-Blessin Brown.

Eriyanna is survived by parents A'Lexus Gibbs and Eric Smith, maternal grandparents Sherree Brown and Phillip Gibbs; paternal grandparents Elaine Smith and Robert Allen; maternal great grandparents Sharron Sanford Brown and Darrel Brown Sr; paternal great grandparents Sylvia Jeanette Twine and William Twine; god parents Kenya Chester and Andrew Jackson; Briana Moore and Stephon Chapman; and one sister as well as numerous amount of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life service starting at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel.
