Obituary

Dion Lamonte Holley, departed this life at Parham Doctors Hospital on Sunday October 6, 2024 in Richmond, VA. He was born on May 26, 1971 to Ezekiel Holley, III and the late Barbara Marie Elliott Holley in Hampton, VA.

Dion attended the City of Hampton School System. Dion had a passion for art and drawing, which was recognized at an early age. He was a free spirit and entrepreneur. He wrote a bio book. Some of  his early endeavors included selling cell phone accessories, clothing and shoes as well as other miscellaneous items.

In recent years his entrepreneur adventure continued with a mentorship program for young black men, concrete business "Holley Boys Concrete", Tree removal service, truck driving with a CDL license and managing a Barber Shop. Dion had a huge heart, and it was in his nature to make sure everyone around him was good. This included family, friends and extended family. When he greets you, it's with lots of hugs, laughter and love.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Barbara Marie Holley; and his uncle, Norman Eugene Elliott.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his father, Ezekiel Holley III of Tazwell, VA; four brothers, Anthony (Tony) Holley and Darnell (Runt) Holley both of Hampton, VA; Jason R. Holley of Charlotte, N.C, Devron A. Holley of Baltimore, MD; four sisters, Sonja Mills (Kelvin) of Newport News, VA, Arnita Hollier (Eric) of Hampton, VA, Adara D. Wilson (Jabon) of Bridgeport, CN, and Ashley D. Holley of Bethesda, MD; his favorite sister-cousin, Watilia (Tee) Elliott (Tim) of Newport News, VA; three sons, Devonta L. Clark, D'Soul L. Braxton and Ky'air Holley all of Hampton, VA; two daughters, Micshelye Tyler of Hampton, VA, and Johanna L. Holley of Richmond, VA; six grandkids, six nieces, Aisha Epps, Tia Silver (Samuel), Jasmine Martinez, Janiah Crowell, Pheonix Holley and Ahmeenya Holley; two nephews, Jaxon Holley and Jabon Wilson III; six great nieces and nephews; three uncles, James T. Elliott, Jr (Linda) of Bowie, MD, Larry D. Elliott, Sr. (Sandra) of Newport News, VA. and David Holley of Missouri City, TX; two aunts, Alma D. Elliott-Elahee (Basheer J. Elahee, Sr.- deceased) from Seattle, WA, and Vickie Adams from Missouri City, TX; a host of cousins, friends and extended family.

A memorial service will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel.
