DeQuan Antonio "Quan" Ward, 37, passed away on August 15, 2025.  A native of Hampton, Virginia, Quan was born on September 17, 1987, to Gladys G. Wells and Marvin D. Ward.

After graduating, Quan enlisted in the U.S. Army, proudly serving his country. Creative and stylish, he had a lifelong passion for fashion - always "staying fresh" - and he expressed his love through cooking for family and friends.  Known for his quick wit and easy laugh, Quan was a natural jokester who could brighten any room. Gifted with his hands, he loved to work on cars and often spent time working on his own vehicles.  He never turned down good seafood or time with the people he loved most.

Quan is lovingly remembered by his mother, Gladys G. Wells; his children: Aniyah Ward (16), DeQuan A. Ward Jr. (13), and DeYandel A. Ward (9); Sisters Sharice M. Chamblee (Milton S. Chamblee III) and Callisha C. Ward; Carlos Major, his "ride-or-die" godbrother; his special friend, Lika; his grandmothers, Linda Gomes and Callie Ward; Aunts Belinda Jackson and Sandra Barnes; and Uncles Jesse Wells, Emmanuel "Ike" Wells, and A.L. Ward.

He was beloved by all who met him, and his generosity, humor, and steady presence will be deeply missed by a host of family and friends.

Viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life service starting at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel.
