Demarius
Goble-Banks
Feb 24, 1955 — Feb 20, 2026
DeMarius was born in Pennington Gap VA on February 24, 1955. The family later moved to Hampton, VA where she graduated from Hampton High School. DeMarius, known as "Dee" Banks at the Newport News Shipyard, retired after 39 years as a General Foreman. She was one of the first black women to ever hold the General Foreman title.
DeMarius absolutely loved doing work in her lawn & garden. She planted flowers every year, cut the grass once a week and made sure it was watered. She also enjoyed wearing & collecting jewelry, especially her beautiful watches. She was a huge fan of Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Luther Vandross. In her spare time she would play games on her phone/tablet and watch old western shows and Chicago PD. She preferred being in the house but when she did go out, she enjoyed thrifting at Goodwill and of course, shopping for flowers for her garden.
She leaves to cherish her memory, 1 daughter Tiffany Cue (Marsell), 1 son Christian Banks, 1 brother Marco Stacy (Greta) and 1 grandson Andrew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard & Billie Stacy, brother Cosmo Stacy (Sylvia) and 1 sister Deletha Washington. She also leaves a host of aunts, cousins nieces, nephews and friends.
DeMarius's family would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of love during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held 12 Noon, Monday, March 2, 2026 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel,1601-27th Street, Newport News, Va.
