Mrs. Deborah Ann Roberts passed away on May 29, 2023 at the age of 63 surrounded by her husband and sons.  A native of Newport News, VA, she was born on April 1, 1960 to the late Burt Edwards and Lucille Andrews.  Deborah graduated from Hampton High in 1978 and attended Virginia State University for two years.  She received an associates degree and over the years worked as a secretary, in real estate, and caretaking.

Deborah Edwards married Kevin Roberts in 1993 in Hampton, VA.  Deborah had two loving sons, Sherod Foster and Shane Roberts, and three step-children, Kevin Wilkerson, Shanza Isom, and Kellie Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings--Leon Edwards, Rudolph Edwards, David Edwards, Linda Edwards, Jeffrey Edwards, and Kenneth Edwards, and nephews--Leon Edwards, Jr., Elmore Taylor, Jr., and Demetris Taylor.

Left to cherish her memories are her devoted husband, Kevin of 30 years, her children and step-children (Sherod, Shane, Kevin, Shanza, and Kellie), her sister (Brenda Edwards), grandchildren (Sherod, Jr., Ziyona, Zuri, Khalil, Zeray, Nyla, Elijah, Brielle, and Kamari), in-laws (Mary Roberts, Voletta Roberts, and Leon Roberts), a host of nieces and nephews (Tomika Simms, Naomi Edwards, Corey Edwards, Jason Edwards, Rio Taylor, Elmore Taylor, III, Monique Edwards, DeShay Taylor, Chalaya Taylor, Lyndell Taylor, LaVar Harris & Barrian Edwards), and other loved ones and special friends.

Viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. up until the Celebration of Life service starting at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel.
