Chelsea French , born September 30, 1987, age 38, of Hampton, Virginia, passed away on December 18, 2025. Chelsea lived her life with grace, courage, and an unshakable love for those around her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny A. French.

Chelsea is survived by her devoted mother, Joan French; her sister Holly Jones and brother-in-law Orlando Jones; her sister Adrianna Phoenix of Hampton, Virginia; her brothers Cleveland Gaines-Phoenix of New York, Dr. Stacey McClure, and Richard McClure of Phoenix, Arizona. She is also survived by Jennifer Jones, a sister in the Lord, her TikTok family, and a host of dear friends and other family. Chelsea leaves behind 18 beloved nieces and nephews and 5 great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom she cherished deeply.

Chelsea had a true gift—she loved to sing and possessed a voice of an angel. Her passion for fashion and beauty reflected her creative spirit and eye for elegance. Known for her warm heart and radiant smile, Chelsea brought light into every room she entered. She fought hard for her life with remarkable strength and resilience, choosing to live each moment fully and with purpose.

Chelsea will be remembered for her love, her laughter, her strength, and the unforgettable joy she shared so freely. Her legacy of kindness, faith, and perseverance will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Sunday, December 28, 2025 at  Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News, Va. 23607
