Charlie Harrison (better known as Charles), transitioned from his earthly home on March 7, 2026. Charles was born in Tennessee to Mary and James Harrison.
Charles enlisted in the United States Air Force at a young age. Charles faithfully served his country and retired after twenty-four years of service. While in the Air Force, he achieved the rank of Master Sargent. Charles received numerous medals and commendations while serving his country.
After retiring 24 years from the Military, Charles relocated to Hampton Roads where he met his special friend, Evelyn. Charles worked at NASA and numerous other places after his retirement. While in good health, Charles enjoyed playing tennis and ping pong.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; and a son.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved Evelyn and extended family, Ethel, PC as he loved to call her (Promise), Chris, who her cherished, Lorenzo (Penny) and a host of friends.
Viewing will be held Friday, March 27, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News,Va. A funeral service will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel,1601-27th Street, Newport News, Va. 23607. Interment will be held in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
