Obituary

Carrington "C.Jai" Jai Walker, cherished daughter of Cecelia C. Walker and Oscar W. Walker was born on September 21, 2000 and  transitioned from her earthly home to reside in the house of the Lord on January 8, 2025.

Carrington was christened at an early age, marking the beginning of a life filled with heavenly blessings.  Carrington was born in Washington, District of  Columbia and is a direct descendant of the Grebo and Basa tribes in Liberia. Carrington attended City of Hampton Public Schools and graduated from St. Mary's Home for Disabled Children SECEP/Reach of Norfolk, Virginia in 2019.

As an adult she transitioned from St. Mary's Home to the Hickory area of Chesapeake, Virginia where she continued to make friends.  She left the staff and residents of St. Mary's Home with a lifetime of unforgettable memories.

Carrington had a passion for listening to music, dancing to her favorite artist, Beyoncé.  She loved spending time video chatting with her family and friends using her own technical devices, provided by her mother and father along with support by Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of Childrens' Hospital of the King's Daughter in Norfolk.  She was super excited being a fashionista with trendy clothes, make-up, getting manicures and pedicures with her mother. She enjoyed spending quality time with her father and took great pleasure in hearing him sing.

She leaves behind a host of family and friends that will forever cherish her bright spirit and determination.  Rest in peace dear one.  We love you, forevermore.
