Bucceroni Mason, fondly recognized as Butch, departed this world peacefully on April 12, 2026, at the age of 73, with his family by his side.  Born on December 22, 1952, in South Carolina.  

Bucceroni lived a life defined by steady strength and a devotion to his family and friends. Bucceroni found joy in life’s simple pleasures taking long walks, watching sports, spending time at the cigar lounge, and enjoying a good two-finger glass of bourbon.  He was a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, a veteran of the United States Army, and served as an auditor for the Department of Defense for over 30 years. 

He was the beloved son of Jannie and James Mason, who preceded him in death.  Bucceroni shared close bonds with his siblings: Jean (Leroy Roach), Ronald, Steve, Wanda, and Terry, and a caring uncle to a host of nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his life.  For 41 years, Bucceroni was a loving husband to his dearest wife, Jackie Mason, with whom he built a lasting partnership grounded in love, faith and commitment.  He was a proud and caring father to his son Brendon Mason and his wife Randi, his son Darryl Lucas, and a cherished Papa to Dawson and LeiLei, who brought him immense joy. 

Bucceroni will be remembered for his presence, his dedication to those he loved, and the meaningful connections he fostered throughout his life. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.  He will be deeply missed.

Viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life service starting at 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2026 at the Hampton Convention Center.
