Antonio Aursby, age 44, was born May 20, 1978 to Everleen Aursby and Ervin Graves.  He passed away March 15, 2023 in his home surrounded by family.

Tony worked at the Newport News Shipyard as a marine painter department X33 for 12 years.  Tony loved to be around family and laugh, his favorite saying was "You trash dog". He loved to watch football, his favorite team was the New York giants.  Tony loved life and always wanted everyone around him to smile.

Tony was well loved and had a pure heart.  He touched a lot of people and was a hard worker, he would give his shirt off his back to anyone in need didn't matter if he knew them or not! Tony was diagnosed last year with brain cancer and fought everyday till the lord called him home!  Tony will be dearly missed!

Tony is survived by his wife, Shelly; and their children, Quan, Maya, Jada, Amare, Amani and Aniya.  As well as two grandchildren, Ai'Lahni and Ai'Laun; his siblings, Robert, Carolyn, Willie, Sherry, Erivin Jr, Wanda; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lots of friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Karrie Aursby; grandfather, Mack Aursby; grandfather, Henry Graves; grandmother, Susie Graves; his uncles, Mike Aursby, George Whitaker, Doug Graves, and Robert Graves.

Viewing will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News,VA. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the funeral chapel.
