Annie Mae Tucker Harrison was born on April 21, 1940, in Nash County, NC to the late Elijah and Leora Tucker. Mae peacefully entered the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, July 15, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband the love of her life, Kenneth Duray Harrison, and loving sisters, Ida Bell Alston and Henise Hawkins.

Mae graduated from Nash County Training School in 1958. She was employed with Newport News Public Schools until her retirement.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her two daughters; Jennifer Harrison Bates of Hampton, VA, and Cassandra Calhoun (Lamont) of Newport News, VA. One son Craig Duray Harrison (Angela) of Newport News, VA. Five grandchildren; Lai'Toya Harrison of Hampton, VA, Dai'Quaun Harrison (Tilea) of Tampa, FL, Erika Calhoun of Newport News, VA, Asia Harrison of Columbus, GA, and Nicole Price of Newport News, VA. Six great-grandchildren; Four siblings, And a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and all who affectionately called her Momma Mae.

Viewing will be held Sunday, July 28, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News, Va. A homegoing service will be held 12 Noon, Monday, July 29, 2024 at Messiah Baptist Church, 1152-24th Street, Newport News, Va. Interment will be held 12 Noon, Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Harrison Family Cemetery, Nashville, North Carolina.
