Amari Je'ray Maxwell departed this life on December 18, 2024, at the age of 21.  Amari was born in Newport News, VA, on March 26, 2003.

He was a cherished member of our family, known for his positive personality trait, like kindness, respect and a sense of humor Amari graduated from Warwick High school in 2021.

Amari will be deeply missed by his parents, Latrice Lewis (Tony), Carlos Russell (Danyelle), Bonus Mom, Ronisha Brown, siblings, Janari Maxwell, Cashous Swan, Jene Maxwell, Khadajah Swan, Akiya Russell, Ava Russell, Richard Russell, Keyarlos Russell, Tyasia Reid, Myreo Brown, Mahalath Pittman, Ca'ra'n Harris.  Paternal grandmother, Shirley Harris (Lefty), Michael Daniels, Maternal grandmother, Antionette McCarter (Sincere), A special friend, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and countless friends.  Amari passion was his music, rapping with his siblings and playing football.  Amari also loved working at his job at McDonalds, that was his second home.

Viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel.  Funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Friday, January 3, 2025 at Restoration & Faith Ministry.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
