Obituary

Mr. Alvin Roy Archibald, "Archi" , was born July 7, 1944 in Panama City to Edna L. Thomas and Alfredo Archibald.  He passed away peacefully Friday, January 17, 2025 in the loving arms of his beloved wife, Patricia A. Archibald.

He attended the Panama City Public School system up until high school in Rainbow City, Republic of Panama.  After relocating to the United States, he was drafted into the United States Army.

On November 18, 2005, he married the love of his life, Patricia Agatha Yearwood. He loved to dance and travel, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time Saturday nights dancing to Spanish and Reggae music with his wife.

He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories, his loving wife, Mrs. Patricia A. Archibald; his children, Abdel Archibald (Dianne), Sabrina Archibald-Herrera; his grandchildren, Chanelle Parker, Ciarra Archibald-Cooke, Chelsey Herrera, Abdiel Herrera Jr., Briana Herrera, Michael Herrera; his extended family;  Grenville Yearwood (Charlotta), Michael Culley; Emani Yearwood, and Alexander Culley; his siblings, Sylvia Baptiste, Sadie Wilson, Ricardo Archibald; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held Sunday, February 9, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News, Va. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 10, 2025  at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, VA.
