Akisha Brown was born July 4, 1976, to the late Patricia Rayford and James Brown.  She received her wings and returned home on June 2, 2025.

She graduated from the University of Maryland, receiving her master's degree. She was prominent in the accounting and real estate field, as well as a few small businesses she ran.

Describing Kisha is hard to put into words; she was really one of one. She loved her kids and family and tried to help anyone she could. She was very loving, supportive and you could always come to her for advice. Even though she is gone, the legacy she left and the impact she had will continue to live on through us.

She leaves to cherish her memory forever, her 2 daughters, Jaimoni Hardy and Jayana Turner; her 2 sons, Jacarre Wallace and Jayden Turner; her daughter-in-law, Georgia Wallace; her sister, Samanatha; her bestfriend, Michael Sabb and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her very much.

A memorial service will be held  11:00 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2025 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News, Va.
